Major professional associations of mental and physical health recognize that being LGBTQ is part of natural variations that occur in sexual orientation and gender identity, and recommend responsive services that foster self-acceptance and skills to cope with social stigma and discrimination;"
This measure would call upon all Californians to embrace the individual and social benefits of family and community acceptance, upon religious leaders to counsel on LGBTQ matters from a place of love, compassion, and knowledge of the psychological and other harms of conversion therapy, and upon the people of California and the institutions of California with great moral influence to model equitable treatment of all people of the state.
These excerpts were taken from the California Assembly Concurrent Resolution No.99 (ACR99).
Freedom of religion is protected by the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, the LGBTQ lifestyle is not a lifestyle I embrace. If approached about the issue, I would give my stance, with love, and respect the person's ultimate decision. However, there's an entity, not only in the California legislative branch but also in the general governmental system, determined to unjustly exercise authority over my choices.
This resolution must be scrutinized in that it has the ability to set precedent in forcing all Americans to forfeit their religious beliefs and free-will, the actions of the legislators reveal a lack of basic knowledge of the Constitution, and their ability to lead in a governmental position, established to protect the law, has proven ineffective and should be challenged.
ACR99 not only infers that "Major professional associations of mental and physical health" are to be recognized as gods, but it also infers that my belief in God and my God-given free will is unrecognized thus unprotected.

I wonder how presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, feels about upholding constitutional rights for ALL Americans?
